PB Therapeutic Massage is a therapeutic focused clinic in San Diego. Our clients come in with chronic pain, postural issues, athletic recovery needs, and stress-related tension. Some arrive with a specific complaint they want addressed. Others simply need to decompress and feel good in their body again. We serve both, and the ability to read which one is needed is part of what we look for in every therapist.
Sessions are not scripted. Therapists conduct a real intake, read the client in front of them, and build the session from there. The work can be specific and targeted, slow and restorative, or move between the two within a single hour. What matters is that the client leaves feeling their time was well spent and their body was genuinely attended to.
We are a small, close-knit team. Everyone here takes their craft seriously, communicates with care, and respects the shared space we work in.
One Thing We've Learned
Therapists tend to be strong on one end or the other. Some do exceptional deep work but go in too hard too fast, without listening to how the body is opening. Others bring a genuinely nurturing touch but struggle to deliver targeted, efficient muscle release where the body needs it. What we're looking for is someone who has developed both and understands how each one serves the other. We also welcome therapists who are earlier in that journey, as long as they recognize the importance of both and are genuinely open to growing in that direction.
The Therapist We're Looking For
- Confident with deep tissue and myofascial release, the foundation of our work
- Knows when to go deep and when to slow down to support the nervous system
- Conducts a genuine intake, lets it shape the session, and keeps the client informed when the approach adapts
- Communicates clearly and handles client and team situations with confidence and ownership
- Reliable and consistent, takes ownership of their schedule and their clients
- Leaves the treatment room clean and ready for the next therapist
